Community rules
Last updated: 29 September 2026
Drop is for people aged 18 and over who want to talk with their friends. These rules apply to everything on Drop: messages, photos, videos, voice messages, files, stories, profiles, names and groups. They are part of the terms of use.
Not allowed
Harassment and bullying. Insults aimed at a person, humiliation, persistent unwanted contact, threatening to publish someone's private information.
Hate speech. Attacking or demeaning people because of their race, ethnic origin, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar characteristics.
Violence and threats. Threatening to harm someone, calling for violence, glorifying terrorism or violent extremism, encouraging suicide or self-harm.
Sexual content. Pornographic images, videos and texts, and sharing intimate images of anyone without their consent.
Harm to children. Any sexual content involving minors and any attempt to exploit them. See the child safety standards below.
Impersonation. Pretending to be another person or organisation.
Spam and fraud. Bulk advertising, scams, phishing, harmful links or files.
Illegal content. Selling drugs or weapons, sharing stolen data, copyright infringement and anything else that is against the law.
Child safety standards (CSAE)
Drop has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This covers:
- images, videos or texts that show or describe the sexual abuse of a child, including drawn or AI-generated material;
- sexualising minors in any form;
- grooming, meaning trying to build a relationship with a child in order to abuse them sexually;
- threatening or pressuring a child to send intimate images;
- offering or trafficking children for sexual purposes.
Drop is only for adults. Accounts that belong to minors are deleted.
When we find such content or someone reports it to us, we remove it, permanently delete the accounts involved, keep the evidence the law requires and report the case to the police or other competent authorities.
Report it in the app, or write to our child safety contact at info@prahapp.cz, even if you do not have a Drop account. If a child is in immediate danger, call the police or the emergency number 112.
How to report
- A message: press and hold it and choose "Report message".
- A person: open your chat with them, tap the menu at the top right and choose "Report". You can also report someone from their profile.
- A group member or a group: from the group's member list or the group menu.
- A story: open the story, tap the menu at the top right and choose "Report story".
- By email: anyone, including people without a Drop account, can write to info@prahapp.cz.
An administrator reviews every report within 24 hours.
Blocking
Open the chat, tap the menu at the top right and choose "Block"; you can also block someone from their story. A blocked person cannot message you and you cannot message them, and you no longer see each other's stories. You can unblock people under Profile › Settings › Blocked people.
What happens when the rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is:
- the content is removed;
- the account is suspended for a time;
- the account is deleted permanently.
Serious violations, such as harm to children, credible threats or fraud, lead straight to permanent deletion. If your account is suspended, you see the reason in the app. If you think a decision is wrong, write to info@prahapp.cz within six months with your username. A person reviews every objection.
Automatic filter
A word filter runs on our server. Messages with certain severe terms are not sent at all, and others are marked for administrators.
Keep in mind
Drop does not use end-to-end encryption. Messages are stored on our servers in readable form and Drop administrators can view them.
